Developed by China North Industries in 2014 the VP-11 Mine Resistant, Ambush Protected (MRAP) gives the PLA the ability to conduct front line surveillance and command in a vehicle that has level 1 STANAG ballistic protection making ideal against light arms fire and indirect heavy fire. It is also capable of reaching top speeds of 120km/hr
Additionally it features IED protection against a maximum of 10kg explosives thanks to its reinforced V-shaped hull.
The PLA has ordered 100s of VP-11 MRAPs for its armed forces
