The CCKW 2.5 Ton 6x6 Truck also known as the "Jimmy" by US armed forces was a very successful off road capable truck. By the end of WW2 over 500000 had been built.
The reliability of the truck was vital for keeping the Red Ball Express which was responsible for transporting and supplying allied forces across Europe in full operation.
