WW2 German Army Artillery Brigade
German artillery units played a crucial role in providing fire support to advancing German infantry and armoured units. Although it would often be the case due to the nature of Blitzkrieg that the Panzers would already be out of range of artillery fire support by the time the positions were set up.
Thus most armoured and infantry divisions would have an "Artillerieverbindugskommando" or Artillery liaison detachment commando that could help coordinate the actions of German artillery with other army formations.
