The 3rd S S Panzer Division (Totenkopf) fought in several significant battles during WW2. Notable engagements included the Battle of Kharkov counteroffensives in 1943 and the Battle of Kursk, one of the largest tank battles in history. 

Additionally, the division was heavily involved in the fighting during the Ardennes Offensive (Battle of the Bulge) in late 1944 and early 1945.
