The M198 is a 155mm Howitzer that was used by the US Army until it was replaced by the more modern M777.
It was capable of firing a multitude of shells ranging from conventional HE shells (22km), RAP shells (30kms) and DPICMs (20 to 30km)
Since 1979 over 1600 were produced and is still in service with the militaries of 12 nations.
