The is a variant of the standard BTR-4 that was introduced by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in early 2009.
The 8x8 BSEM-4k battlefield medical vehicle is capable of carrying out search and rescue missions in areas of operation. Additionally it contains a first aid and bandaging station in the rear compartment. It also features a respectable armour profile that allows it to deflect most heavy machine gun and heavy sniper rounds.
