The UAZ Patriot "technical" is based of the commercial manufactured and designed in Russia.
The Russian military command realised how valuable pickup trucks were when fighting in tightly contested urban environments. Battle in Middle Eastern urban jungles highlighted the need for an agile unit that can fight and pull out quickly.
The UAZ Patriot Technical is mostly used by Private Russian Military Contractors (PMC).
This technical is equipped with a Kord 12.7 mm heavy machine gun. It also features improved all terrain capacity along with an upgraded towing capacity and more sturdy armour protection system to protect against shrapnel and indirect fire
