The Type 10 Main Battle Tank of Japanese Self Defence Ground Forces is a next gen platform that entered service in 2012.
It features a unique armour profile that is made off Nano-crystal steel and composite modular armour. The improved armour profile showed great resilience against an APFSDS type IV tank shell that directed at the hull of the Type 10 MBT.
Furthermore the Type-10 is equipped with an indigenous designed 120mm smoothbore canon and a powerful locally produced V8 engine.
