German Bundeswehr MTW-M113
The M113 APC first entered service in 1960 for the US Armed Forces. It saw extensive combat in the Vietnam war were it proved effective in mowing down thick bush cover. The M113s reliable engine and 20mm thick armour which made it immune to small arms fire allowed it to to thrive in the international export market
In the 70s West Germany purchased batches of the M113 and to this day the Bundeswehr still operates upgraded variants of the M113.
