The T-26 was a Soviet light tank widely used during World War II, based on the British Vickers 6-Ton design. Weighing about 9.6 tons, it was crewed by three men and armed with a 45mm 20K tank gun and a 7.62mm DT machine gun. Its thin armour offered limited protection, and it was powered by a 90 hp engine with a top speed of 31 km/h.
Effective in the 1930s and early stages of WWII, the T-26 became obsolete due to its thin armour and poor mobility but played a significant role in early Soviet conflicts before being replaced by more advanced designs like the T-34.
