In modern times the 101st (Screaming Eagles) have carried out spearhead operations in Vietnam, Kosovo, Afghanistan and famousely in 2003 Iraq were there where lead by Major General David H. Petraeus and tasked with clearing out enemy strongpoints in Baghdad.
