The HH-60M MEDEVAC (Medical Evacuation) is used for the extraction of wounded troops from the battlefield. The helicopter incoporates a dedicated medical evacuation mission equipment package (MEP) kit. This includes ECG machines, patient monitors, an infrared system and a built-in external electrical rescue hoist.
The HH-60M varient of the famous Black Hawk is capable of carrying 11 people including 6 patients in a sterile environment.
