The T-80BV is a Soviet upgrade on the T-80B which included the addition of Kontakt-1 ERA on the turret and hull to help against shaped charge munitions. It also featured the new 2A46M-1 (125mm) gun which was capable of firing the 9M112M Kobra ATGM through the gun barrel.
Russia currently fields around over 1000 different variants of the T-80 with alot seeing action and destruction across both Russian and Ukranian forces during the Russo-Ukraine war of 2022.
