WW2 US Army M25 Tank Transporter + M3 Stuart Light Tank
Mobility was a critical element of any attack or defence during WW2. The introduction of German lightning attacks made it imperative that armour and heavy equipment reached the front quickly and effectively.
This put alot of prominence on tank transport vehicles like the M25 which was capable of transporting tanks like the M4 Sherman or M3 Stuart quickly and also whilst preventing damage to tank tracks.
The M25 tractor transporter was a significant upgrade over earlier models such as the Diamond T M19 and therefore continued service from 1941 to 1955.
The M3 Stuart was an American light tank given to the British and other Commonwealth countries under the Land-lease program.
The combat history of the M3 Stuart is not excellent despite being on par with many German and Italian tanks in the North African campaign. M3 Stuart tank brigades suffered substantial loses. British officers would often complain about the inadequacies of the 37mm M6 gun. The M3 Stuart and later the M5 would eventually service as recon tanks and act in supporting roles.
