WW2 German Sturmgeschütz III Tank Destroyer
The StuG III was the most produced fully armoured tank of the German army. Its reliable build design on the chassis of the proven Panzer III in combination with a fixed gun superstructure meant the German high command fielded this tank destroyer where ever German forces were stationed.
The long barrelled 7.5 cm StuK 40 L/48 gun combined with its low silhouette made it an extremely difficult target to locate and destroy. This in combination with its reliability and easy production process forced the Germans towards the end of the war to rely more and more on this acute tank destroyer
