The Panzerkampfwagen I Ausf.A was the first mass-produced German tank of World War II. It was mainly used for training and reconnaissance, with a top speed of 37 km/h (23 mph). The tank was equipped with two 7.92 mm MG 13 machine guns and had up to 13mm thick armour, making it susceptible to AT weapons.
Despite limitations, it played a key role in early WW2 battles, such as the invasion of Poland and France.
