WW2 Schwerer Gustav Railway Artillery

7,502.00TL

The heavy Gustav Railway gun was developed in the 1930s. This 80cm large siege artillery piece was specifically created so it can destroy the forts at the Maginot Line that France had built to defend against a German offensive. However German Blitzkrieg success made the the Gustav railway gun redundant on the Western front .

On the Eastern front the Gustav saw extensive combat use as part of Operation Barbarossa. It was extensively deployed in the Battle for Sevastopol where it was capable of destroying ammunition depots buried 30m underground.

The Gustav Railway gun to this date is the heaviest mobile artillery piece ever built. Additionally it was able to fire 7 ton armour piercing or high explosive shells which allowed for even 7m thick concrete to be penetrated.

Gustav Railway Gun features:

  • 3846 pieces and instructions
  • 8 figures and weapon accessories
  • 1:72 Ratio
  • Dimensions: 92cm length
