WW2 American P-47 Republic Thunderbolt

 The P-47 Republic thunderbolt was introduced to the US Air force in November 1942. Over 15000 of these fighters were built and stayed in service in the air force of many nations till 1966 when the Peruvian air force finally retired the iconic fighter.

The P-47 was highly utilised in the fighter-bomber role and proved to be a devastating foe to deal with due to its ability to carry heavy bomb loads and survive enemy fire.
