PLAAF Chengdu J-10B Multirole Fighter

The J-10 series of fighter jets were designed and developed in order to provide the Chinese airforce with the capability of establishing air supremacy whilst also maintaining the ability to carry out ground/naval strikes.

J-10 fighters entered PLAAF service in 2006 and after two years the upgraded J-10B was developed.

The J-10B features an extended nose to house active electronic scanned array radars, an electro-optic sensors, laser rangefinder and a new countermeasure pod.

The J-10B also features 6 hard points that can be equipped with air to air missiles such as the PL-11, PL-12 and/or YJ-9K anti-ship missiles.
