WW2 USAF P-40 Curtis Warhawk Fighter Plane

1,539.00TL

The Curtis P-40 ground attack aircraft entered service in 1938 and become the 3rd most produced American fighter of WW2. However it rarely saw service in the European theatre were it was mostly outmatched by the fighters of the Luftwaffe. Instead the P-40s were fielded in large numbers in North Africa, South-East Asia and China.

The P-40 Curtis excelled as an air superiority fighter and as an bomber escort. The excellent armour profile and cheap cost of this fighter made it very advantage to field in large sweeping numbers against the Japanese in the Pacific
