Designed in the early stages of WW2 with the believe that a repeat of the muddy trench warfare of WW1 would be a reality the Tog 2 was over 10m long which would of allowed it to traverse many trenches and crates that would have littered the battlefields of Europe.
However after the German success with Blitzkrieg the project was scrapped in favour of smaller more manuverable tanks. The prototype Tog was armed with a QF 17 pdr (76.2 mm) gun and had 114mm of frontal armour.
