The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was a long range fighter aircraft that was especially manoeuvrable and advanced for its time during early WW2.
When first introduced in the 1940s by the Japanese navy the A6M Zero was considered to be the best carrier based fighter in the world. During early encounters with the Zero dog-fighter allied aircraft would suffer horrible 1 to 12 kill ratios against it.
Over 10000 of these aircraft were produced.
