The German Panther Ausf A was the early production run for the Panther medium tank. It featured 80mm of frontal hull armour and 100mm of turret armour. Its main armament was a 7.5 cm Kw.K.42 L/70 gun.
Despite being an early production the Ausf A variant still underwent upgrades and shared many features with the more commonly produced Ausf.D version of the Panther Medium Tank
