WW2 German VK 16.02 Recon Tank
What was to be the German VK 16.02 light tank never made it into production after research and development began in 1941 by Munich based heavy manufacturer "MAN AG".
The tank design was eventually scrapped in 1943 after the German top brass including Hitler decided that serial production should focus on designing the heavier armoured Panther tank which the VK 16.02 was taking inspiration from.
The final tank design included 50mm sloped armour at 50* and a 5 cm Kw.K.39/1 L/60 cannon. The insufficient armour profile of the tank was its ultimate undoing as Anti-Tank weapons had developed significantly by 1944
