WW2 German Panzerkampfwagen King Tiger II
The Panzerkampfwagen Tiger II was protected by upto 185mm of frontal sloped armour making it frontally impervious to most allied tanks. It also featured the long barrelled 8.8 cm KwK 43 L/71 anti-tank cannon which had excellent penetration and handling characteristics.
The 503rd Heavy Panzer Battalion was the first German unit on the Western front to use the King Tiger tank meanwhile on the Eastern front the 501st Heavy Panzer Battalion received the first batch of 25 King Tigers which quickly were used to repulse Soviet attacks under " Operation Bagration".
