WW2 German Arado Ar 196 Recon Plane

The German Ar196 recon plane was a WW2 production plane that was able to land and take off from water.

The plane was primarily used in the Atlantic as a way of spying on allied operations between the USA and UK. It became the primary plane of the Kriegsmarine (German Navy).

Only 540 of these Naval reconnaissance however they were much loved by German pilots as it handled admirably in air and on water. 

The Finnish air force even used the Ar 196 to transport special forces troops behind enemy lines.
