US Army M1A2 Abrams (MBT)
The M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank (MBT) and its subsequent variants such as the modern M1A2 sep v3 have been dominating battle fields since the early 1980s when they entered service with the US Army.
The M1A2 features a Chobham composite armour profile that consists of depleted Uranium and other classified ceramics. This makes it almost impervious to most kinetic penetrators currently on the battlefield.
The main armament is the powerful 120 mm L/44 M256A1 smoothbore gun that fires the depleted uranium M829 APFSDS shell also known as the "silver bullet" which is capable of knocking out Soviet/Russian tanks equipped with Kontakt-5 explosive reactive armour (ERA).
