The PCL-191 rocket artillery system first entered service with the Chinese ground forces in 2019. Many military experts have noted how this rocket artillery system has altered the strategic balance in the region especially around Taiwan.
The PCL-191 is capable of firing x8 accurate 370mm rockets at a distance of up to 350km with a short reload time of only 10minuttes. This gives the PLAGF coverage over all of Taiwan and allows others branches of the military like the PLAN and PLAAF to carry out other missions.
